NMiTE – New Model in Technology & Engineering – is an initiative backed by government, educators (including the University of Warwick) and industry, to transform engineering education in Britain. Located in Hereford, NMiTE aims to become the first wholly new UK university in 40 years.
With our innovative Ingenuity Studio engagement programme, we aim to inspire a new passion for engineering as a lifelong career. Our Studios, equipped with an array of hi-tech equipment, will bring a new learning experience to schools, colleges and organisations. Reflecting NMiTE’s unique approach, they will use real-world projects to encourage the exploration of ideas, design and build.
Studio 1 is travelling to schools, colleges, community spaces and public events in the Hereford region spending a week with each host organisation. Each day the studio engages eight young participants and the community to solve local issues through engineering.
From early 2019, the studio will travel more widely across the UK.
The programme is free to all thanks to the generous support of the Garfield Weston Foundation. Do contact us if you are interested in participating, hosting or volunteering. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
